Nestled in southwestern Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park offers an enchanting landscape of hilly countryside and remnant lowland forests. This park is home to half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas, numbering over 800 globally. Beyond gorilla tracking, Bwindi also features hiking trails rich in birdlife and other primates, as well as a sanctuary for elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys, and small antelopes. The park spans 331 square kilometers of montane and lowland forests, accessible only on foot.
