Experience a transformative 12-day journey combining community outreach and natural exploration in Uganda. Your itinerary includes hands-on project work in rural communities, an orientation in the capital city of Kampala, and a rewarding safari at Murchison Falls National Park.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Welcome to Uganda
Arrival: Land at Entebbe Airport and meet our guide for transportation
Settle In: Check into your accommodation for a restful evening
Day 2 – Kampala Orientation
City Tour: Explore Kampala, Uganda’s capital
Currency Exchange: Attend to money exchange requirements
Briefing: Receive an orientation about the upcoming outreach projects
Day 3 – Journey to Rural Outreach Location
Departure: Drive upcountry, at least three hours, to the outreach project location
Site Visits: Tour potential project sites and finalize your project focus
Accommodation: Settle into your lodging in the chosen rural area
Optional Outreach Projects: Babies’ homes, orphanages, shelters, schools, local communities, health centers, or any project of interest.
Building Projects: Various options such as homes for the elderly, schools, health facility rehabilitation, or painting an orphanage, as determined by group interest.
Days 4-7 – Hands-On Community Project
Engagement: Participate in the selected building or outreach project
Day 8 – Return to Kampala or Optional Rest Day
Transfer: Head back to Kampala to prepare for the safari
Optional: If your project is in the northern region, you may choose to stay and take the afternoon off
Day 9 – Safari at Murchison Falls National Park
Travel: Set out for Murchison Falls National Park
Lunch: Meal break during the journey
Day 10 – Explore Murchison Falls
Morning: Embark on an early morning game drive
Afternoon: Enjoy a boat ride and optional hike to the top of the falls for the energetic
Day 11 – Return to Kampala & Souvenir Shopping
Travel: Head back to Kampala
Optional: Time permitting, visit crafts markets for souvenir or gift shopping
Day 12 – Farewell Uganda
Optional: Morning visit to crafts markets if not done previously
Departure: Transfer to Entebbe Airport for your onward journey
